Trinity Children's Center
Trinity's favorite "kid place" is the Trinity Children's Center (TCC), which began in November of 1989. Our main goal is to provide a secure, quality, Christian-based center as an outreach to the Brainerd community.
TCC includes children ages six weeks thru kindergarten.
The center is open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday
TCC is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services which is located in St. Paul, MN (612.296.3971).
We are licensed for 36 children. This number is divided into four separate classrooms:
"Little Lambs" (infants) age: 6 weeks to 16 months, ratio 1:4
"Friendly Frogs" (Toddlers) age: 16 months to 3 years, 1:7
"Busy Bears" (Younger Preschool) age: 3 to 4.5 years, Ratio 1:10
"Dazzling Dinosaurs" (Older Preschool/Kindergarten) age: 4.5 through kindergarten, Ratio 1:10
We pray before meals, sing Christian songs, read Bible stories and celebrate Christian holidays.
Our philosophy is that each child deserves the best possible care in a nurturing and loving environment. The classrooms are arranged in a manner that allows children to independently choose and interact with materials. All staff guide, interact, and demonstrate appropriate use of materials with children. Our staff emits the criteria set for by the Minnesota Department of Human Service for child care facilities. Staff people participate in educational in-service training to keep their education and knowledge of early childhood education updated. Each staff person is certified in CPR and First Aid.

Other Highlights of TCC!
We have our own private sledding hill for winter activities.
We have been home to gerbils, guinea pigs, and we've even adopted a cat!
We have a fleet of trikes and two-wheelers.
Over 90,000 diapers have been changed at TCC!
Our favorite activity is singing an we give concerts to the people in the church office!
We enjoy snack time and almost anything having to do with food!
We love to hear stories.
Our favorite part of the day is either nap time or coloring, we can't decide!
We have colored with our hands AND feet!
We get to travel fun places for field trips.
We learn about safety.
We love our volunteer "grandmas" who add to the "family" feeling of our center.
We've got the biggest sandbox in the neighborhood!
